Smart File Eraser from MaidenSoft overwrites files and directory entries PERMANENTLY with industry accepted bit patterns to remove the magnetic remnants from your hard disk. It repeats this process 27 times, exceeding the US Department of Defense’s specifications for sanitization, making it impossible to recover the data.

The program is activated using a convenient Windows Explorer shell extension. Right click on a file, a group of files, or an entire folder and select Smart File Eraser. The program will permanently remove all traces of any sensitive files from your disk, beyond all hope of recovery. The program is fast, even for large files, and progress is displayed while erasing. Plus, MaidenSoft''s unique Interactive Help System enables the user to run the program directly from the Help Screen. This is the first screen shown when the product is used for the first time. Uninstall, repair, and self-registration are all included in the installation program. Online technical support is provided through MaidenSoft''s web site, with an entry on the start menu.
